1 - Configuring Meta Ads Integration

Configuring for Meta Ad Integration requires action on both the Meta side and the Salesforce side. Below are step-by-step instructions to configuring both.

Meta Configuration

Step 1: Creating New Meta Developer App

1. Open the Meta Developers home page (developers.facebook.com)
2. Log in with a user that has a Facebook Developer Account associated with it
3. Select an App, or create a new App
   • For a new App
     • What do you want your app to do? = "Other"
     • App Type = "Business"
     • App Name = "FCI DST Ad Connector"
     • App contact email = leave as default
     • Business Account (Optional): Select the relevant business account. If you do not see an Account, then this user does not have required access
     • Click the "Create app" button
   • App Roles:
     • Click on "Roles" in the left nav
     • In the App roles section, click on the “Add People” button
     • Assign the proper role to the App

Step 2: Meta Business Manager

1. Open the Meta Business Manager (business.facebook.com)
2. In the left nav, choose the relevant Business Account
3. Click on Settings
4. Go to Users --> System Users
   • Add System User
   • System User Role = Admin
   • Click the "Create System User" button
   • Go to Assign Assets
     • Select Ad Accounts
     • Select the relevant Ad Account
     • Partial Access = View Performance
     • Save changes
5. Go to Accounts --> Apps
   • Click on the relevant App
   • Click the "Assign People" button
   • Select the System User that you created several steps ago
   • Select "View Insights"
   • Click "Assign"
6. Go back to Users --> System Users
   • Select the System User that you created several steps ago
   • Click the "Generate New Token" button
     • Token Expiration: "Never"
     • Permissions:
       • read_insights
       • ads_read
   • Generate Token
   • Copy and Save the token value somewhere secure - you will need this later!
7. Go to Accounts --> Ad Accounts
   • Copy the Ad Account ID from the Ad Account you want to use - you will need this later!

Salesforce Configuration

Step 3: Configuring the Meta Ad Integration

1. In Salesforce, go to the Full Circle Insights Platform Integration.
2. Click Digital Source Tracker "Configure" .
3. Click the "Ad Platform Configuration" tab
4. Expand the "Meta Ads Configuration" section
   1. Would you like to enable Meta Ad Platform Integrations? Yes
   2. Meta Ad Account: Populate this field using the Ad Account ID from Step 2
   3. Meta Access Token: Populate this field using the Token Value from Step 2
