In June 2023, LinkedIn removed the API Decoration from the Ad Analytics API. This broke the existing mechanism for fetching landing page URL's and UTM's into Full Circle Insights Digital Source Tracker. LinkedIn ad metrics and spend data were captured, but more granular reporting on the Segment level may have been lost.
The data has not been lost. After updating the to the most recent LinkedIn API (see this article) you can fetch the data going back to June 2023.
Step 1: Update the Daily Aggregation Database Rebuild Interval value
The Daily Aggregation Database Rebuild Interval specifies the minimum number of minutes between daily rebuild requests. Because you are about to fetch and consolidate data for hundreds of days, it is best to set this value to "1" or else this process could take days instead of hours. It is recommended to reset the initial value when complete. The default value is 15.
- Go to the Digital Source Tracker configuration.
- Click the third tab: "Daily Aggregate Database Configuration."
- At the bottom of the page, take note of the "Daily Aggregation Rebuild Interval (Minutes)" value. If it is not "1", change that value to 1, and save.
Step 2: Rebuild Aggregate Data
- On the same third tab, click the "Rebuild Aggregate Data" button.
- Select a Start Date June 1, 2023 and an end date of Today.
- Click "Start Rebuild."
Step 3: Reset the Daily Aggregate Database Rebuild Interval value
After rebuilding the aggregate data, you can undo Step 1.
- Go to the Digital Source Tracker configuration.
- Click the third tab "Daily Aggregate Database Configuration."
- At the bottom of the page change the "Daily Aggregation Rebuild Interval (Minutes)" back to it's original value, and save.
