Why rematch leads?
There are times when rematching a lead makes sense. Some examples include:
- You've just added lots of new Accounts and want to see if more accurate matches can be found.
- You've enabled Assign or Convert for the first time*. Convert only triggers after Assign, and Assign only triggers after Match. So if you've run Matchmaker without these features enabled and decided to enable them, you may choose to rematch existing matched leads so that the Assign or Convert will occur.
*Any time you make changes to Matchmaker Configuration, remember to Delete Matchmaker Underlying Data (Matchmaker Configuration | Advanced Settings | Delete System Records).
How to rematch leads
To rematch leads, simply clear all Matchmaker fields on a lead, and then trigger Matchmaker for those leads. For efficiency, Matchmaker processes are bypassed for any leads which have a successful match, a potential match, or rejected match, so clearing all these fields will un-match the lead and prepare it to be re-matched.
