Custom Fields
When standard Lead fields like Email, Company, Website, or Address details are updated, the app tries to match the lead to an account.
Matchmaker includes a "Lead to Account" Matching Rule activated during Install & Prepare. It matches leads to accounts using fields like account name, website, and email domains. It can also use custom fields if configured.
Note: Matchmaker relies on Salesforce Duplicate Management, which uses past matches to improve efficiency. If you change the matching rule after running Matchmaker, you must delete Potential Match Records and Duplicate Record Sets in Salesforce for the new rule to work properly. For more on Duplicate Management, see Salesforce's documentation here. Contact the Full Circle Customer Success Community for support.
To Configure
- Configure a new field on the custom object Shadow Lead.
- Navigate to Lead Matching Settings. Map your custom lead field to the Shadow Lead field in Lead Matching settings.
- Add the account field to the Matching Rule in Duplicate Management.
- Remember to add this to the filter logic.
4. Map the account field to the Shadow Lead field in Duplicate Management Duplicate Rule.
NOTE: Refer to Salesforce Standard Matching Rules and Salesforce Duplicate Rules for more information on setting up custom fields and duplicate rules.
