4 - Install and Prepare

Install Matchmaker using the install link provided by Full Circle. We recommend that you install it for Admins Only and then provide access to users using the permission sets delivered with the package.

As a prerequisite to configuring Matchmaker, you need to first configure the following in Salesforce:

Step 1: Assign Permissions Sets & Enable App (required)

Step 2: Enable Duplicate Management Rules (required)

Step 3: Configure Page Layouts (recommended)

Complete these Salesforce configuration steps post installation. Once complete, the appropriate settings and fields will be available for Matchmaker configuration.

Step 1: Assign Permission Sets & Enable App (Required)

Matchmaker ships with two permission sets that you may grant to users to provide access to Matchmaker settings and features. Users can be assigned one or more permission sets, which allows for a layered expansion of permissions.

• End User - Allows user access to Full Circle Matchmaker features and functionality on lead and account pages.
  • Does not grant permission to Full Circle Matchmaker configuration tab or reports and dashboards.
• Administrator - Grants access to Full Circle Matchmaker configuration tab, reports and dashboards. Should be granted to users who will configure and administer the Full Circle Matchmaker features and functionality.

Grant permission to Full Circle Matchmaker based on your business process and user responsibilities.

Once you have completed this step, users with the cloned Administrator permission set will see the Matchmaker App in the app menu. Users that were assigned the End User permission set will not see the Matchmaker App.

Step 2: Duplicate Management (required)

In order for Matchmaker to perform, you will need to navigate to the Salesforce Duplicate Management in the admin console and set up the following:

1. Activate a Matching Rule

2. Create and activate a Shadow Lead Duplicate Rule

To configure:

1. Activate a Matching Rule
Select and activate Matchmaker's Lead to Account matching rule. You also have an option to configure a custom matching rule if you have custom fields you would like to reference in matching. It is recommended that you use the Lead to Account matching rule that ships with Matchmaker.

Note: Matchmaker uses Salesforce Duplicate Management to perform functions. This functionality uses prior matches to increase efficiency. Therefore, if you edit or replace the matching rule after running Matchmaker, you will need to delete Potential Match Records and Duplicate Record Sets from your Salesforce org in order for the new matching rule to work as expected. 2. Create and activate Shadow Lead Duplicate Rule

• From Setup | Administer | Data.com Administration | Duplicate Management | Duplicate Rules.
• Select New Rule
• Select object Shadow Lead

Rule Details

• Rule Name | Enter Matchmaker or name of your choice.
• Enter a Rule Description
• Object should be listed as Shadow Lead
• Record-Level Security | Click Bypass sharing rules

Actions

Specify what happens when a user tries to save a duplicate record.

• Action on Create | Select Allow | Select Report option only
• Action on Edit | Select Allow | do not Click any of the options

Matching Rules

Define how duplicate rules are identified.

• Compare Shadow Leads With | Select Accounts.
• Select Lead to Account Matching Rule.
• Matching Criteria | no action required.

• Field Mapping | Select Mapping Not Selected. Map fields.

Click Save | Activate

Note: Email Domain and Secondary Email Domain are Account fields that are populated by Matchmaker Email Domain Calculation. If you have not enabled and configured this feature, the fields will be blank on the Account object and lead-to-account matching will not match using email domains.
