Advanced settings are available to help you further customize Matchmaker settings. The application ships with default settings. You will not need to use Advanced Settings unless there is a specific circumstance within your org, or unless a business need arises and options are not addressed with the other configuration settings. Review what is available first. Then, if needed, you can customize appropriately.
Define Async Users
Select users or profiles as the running user or profile for Matchmaker. The selected users and profiles should be active in Salesforce and have permission to update leads and contacts.
- Enter User ID | Click Add Async User.
Async Delay for Lead Conversion (to Contact)
If you have lead functionality that runs in the background and you would like Matchmaker to wait a different amount of time than the 10-minute default before performing conversion steps, you can delay lead conversion using this setting.
This applies to automatic lead conversion of new leads only.
- Set the time in minutes, that the application should wait before converting a lead to a contact.
- The default time is 10 minutes.
Lead Conversion Batch Size
- If CPU consumed during lead conversion is high, you can adjust the number of leads to batch convert at a time.
- Adjust the default number to represent the number of leads to batch convert.
- The default number is 25 leads.
Potential Matches Cleanup
When multiple potential matches are found, a temporary record is created to store the relationship between the lead and potential matched accounts.
These temporary records are automatically removed after 90 days (default).
- If you need to modify the 90 day removal | Enter the number of days you would like these temporary records to exist before being removed.
System Record Cleanup
Matched requests, async requests, and shadow lead records that result in an error are cleaned up after 7 days (default).
These records are used by the application for error logging and audit purposes and are not exposed to end users.
- If you need to modify the 7 day cleanup| Enter the number of days you would like these error records to exist before being removed.

Delete System Records
Matchmaker creates error records and duplicate record sets. Use the following delete functionality to remove these records from your org:
Delete Error Records
Deletes all Async Request and Match Request records that are marked as errors. Common errors include validation rule failures when Matchmaker tries to update leads or accounts, exceptions thrown due to errors in custom code, etc.
Delete Matchmaker Underlying Data
Deletes all Duplicate Record Set records associated to Matchmaker, as well as Shadow Lead records. You will want to delete these records if you cleanup Account Name or Website data on Account records or modify Matchmaker's email domain exclusions.
Unmatch All Matched Leads
Unmatches all leads and also deletes all Potential Match records. During testing, you may want to perform this action after you've modified the configuration and want to re-run bulk lead matching against the updated settings.
Further details about Delete System Records functionality can be found here.
