If you're trying to test some new configuration in a sandbox, you might not want to manually copy all of the settings between the orgs. That's why there is a way to export Funnel Metrics' configuration and then later import it.
Step 1: Assign correct permission set
In order to be able to access the correct page, you need to assign the Full Circle Funnel Metrics Developer permission set to the person exporting the configuration. This permission set is a part of the Funnel Metrics managed package.
Step 2: Open the VisualForce page
Next, you need to head to Salesforce setup where under the Custom Code section, you'll be able to find the Visualforce Pages section. Next find the FCR_VFSystemTools page and click the Preview button:
This will open the page allowing you to do various configuration operations.
Warning: Operations on this page are intended for use by Full-Circle CRM technical support. So please do not use any of these commands without instruction.
Step 3: Open Download/Upload Org Configuration
Step 4: Download/Upload the configuration
You will be brought to the following page:
Here you can either download the configuration (the checkboxes section) or import it (Upload Configuration section).
Export
You can choose to export only specific parts of the configuration by selecting/deselecting checkboxes. When you're happy with your selection, click the Download RM Configuration button. This will download the selected parts of the configuration onto your device as a JSON file.
Note: Please keep in mind that the configuration of Opportunity Association is not exportable as of now so you'll need to copy the settings manually.
Import
To import configuration, you should click the Upload Files button which will let you select a file from your device. Then, after you click Upload RM Configuration, the configuration will be uploaded.
After the import is done, the configuration page will display a success message along with a bit more information about each section. You can disregard warnings. If there is an error, you should be able to open the log of the import action where the errors will be listed.
Most common errors involve missing users or missing fields.
If you're not able to figure out the error on your own, reach out to Full Circle Insights support.
