New Features
Opportunity Association
What:
Opportunity Association allows more flexibility for users in Passive Org configurations to associate Opportunities to responses. The full version now supports associating Opportunities to non-active responses on Contact Roles, as well as Account Contacts. Learn more about Opportunity Association.
Where and How:
Opportunity Association is available to configure in the "General" tab of Full Circle Configuration. See Configuring Opportunity Association to learn more
Who and Why:
Customers who have Opportunities created in other ways besides from Contacts or Lead Conversion may consider using Opportunity Association to ensure that those Opportunities are linked to a Campaign Funnel. Also, for customers who are running in Active Mode, based on wanting to ensure all Opportunities are tied to a campaign funnel, will be able to consider running in Passive Mode and using the new capabilities of Opportunity Association.
When:
Opportunity Association will be available for all users to configure once the org is upgraded to the February 2022 Release.
Key considerations
- If you are looking to implement this, you may want to Contact Support to help with setting it up for the first time, if you're unclear based on the Configuration Instructions
Account-Based Last Touch Model Configuration Option
What:
There is now the capability in Account-Based attribution models to define Last Touch to be before Opportunity Close Date. Before, Last Touch was only defined as responses before Opportunity Create Date.
Where and How:
In the Advanced Configuration section of each model, there is a new configuration option Restrict Account Based Last Touch Prior to Opportunity Create Date.
To take advantage of the new capability, you have to have the Account-Based First/Last Touch option checked. By default, the new config option is checked, meaning that Last Touch is restricted to be before Opportunity Create Date. Uncheck the box to open the restriction to be before Opportunity Close Date.
Who:
Customers who want to be able to dynamically define Last Touch as the campaign that led to the close of a deal would be interested in this new configuration option. Also, former LeanData customers who have used the "Last Touch (LT)" model would be interested in this model configuration option.
Why:
The ability to attribute more revenue to the campaign that led to the close of a deal can lead Marketing and Sales to invest more in these tactics that are directly driving revenue.
When:
This configuration option is available upon upgrade to the February 2022 release in all new and existing models.
Key considerations
- This configuration option is only available for Account-based models (not yet for Opportunity-based models)
Improvements
Restrict Account Based First Touch
What:
There is a new setting in Account-Based Attribution models that will restrict First Touch to be prior to Opportunity Create Date. Before this release, First Touch was not being restricted by any date filters when using Account-based First/Last Touch configuration option.
Where and How:
In the Advanced Configuration section of each model, there is a new configuration option Restrict Account Based First Touch Prior to Opportunity Create Date.
To take advantage of the new capability, you have to have the Account-Based First/Last Touch option checked. By default, for new models, the new config option is checked, meaning that First Touch is restricted to be before Opportunity Create Date. For existing models with Account-Based First/Last Touch checked, this option will be unchecked by default. When unchecked, this means that there is no date restriction on the First Touch.
Why:
This update was made to correctly reflect the intent of the Account-Based setting of First Touch to be restricted by Opportunity Create Date
When:
This setting will automatically be enabled for new models for orgs on the February 2022 release. For existing models, the option would need to be manually enabled in the Advanced Configuration section of the model.
Key considerations
- Existing model configurations will not be automatically affected by this new configuration option.
- When creating new models with Account-Based First/Last Touch, this new setting will automatically be enabled and thus may behave differently than existing models regarding the restricting of first touch prior to opportunity create date.
Custom Permission for Full Circle Configuration
What:
There is a new custom permission to configure the Full Circle Application which bypasses Field Level Security checks. The permission is called FCR_FunnelMetrics_Configuration. Customers may create a permission set that includes this permission and assign it to users who experience FLS errors when attempting to make configuration changes.
