An individual may participate in a campaign more than once. For example, she may download a white paper on Monday, forget she has downloaded and download the same asset on Wednesday. The white paper campaign may be set to score responses at a threshold that creates a follow up action for sales.
You may wish to set different repeat response timeout periods for individual campaigns or campaign types so that sales are not notified in cases like this. For example, you may wish to set a timeout period for a software download to 1 week or set a timeout period for a white paper to 5 minutes.
