Active mode is a configuration that requires your sales team to actively use Response Management. Sales people must add a campaign to a lead or contact from the Response Selector in order to progress the status, if they are working with a lead that is not already in an engaged status. They can only create an Opportunity from a Lead or Contact. Active mode can also be used in a "hybrid" state that allows specified profiles or users to be exempt from these requirements. Active mode has a larger effect on the users but allows for collecting more accurate and comprehensive data.
