Campaign Influence New Model Features

Account Model Updates

The Account Model infrastructure has been updated. Existing Account Models will display as Default Account (Legacy) Based. You can edit the Legacy Account model but you cannot create new ones of this model type.

Campaign Influence Model Feature: Campaign and Campaign Member Picklist Weighting

Sys Admin Action: None required.

Location: Full Circle Campaign Influence Tab, within each configured model (click the edit button)

Dependency: New Campaign Infrastructure must be enabled.

Business Value:

The Account and Opportunity Based models now allow you to specify weights for specific field values on both the Campaign and Campaign Member objects. You can match to Picklist values, text values, numbers and checkboxes, including formula fields of that type.

From within a model in the Campaign and Campaign Member Field Weighting section:

  1. Select a Campaign or Campaign Member Picklist field > click Add Table.

  1. Populate your first row and add weighting.
  2. Click Add Row to add another value.

Campaign Influence Model Feature: Exclude by Contact Role

Sys Admin Action: None required.

Location: Full Circle Campaign Influence Tab, within each configured model (click the edit button)

Dependency: New Campaign Infrastructure must be enabled.

Business Value:

You have the ability to exclude a contact from influence calculations.

This feature has been migrated over from the old unmanaged Account influence model.

Next to Opportunity Contact Role Weighting > check Exclude from influence column.

  • If selected, all of this contact’s responses will be excluded from influence calculations.
  • This setting will also exclude Primary, First and Last Touch campaigns if the responses are from that person.

  • If the advanced setting Always Include Primary Campaign Weight is checked, the response will be considered influential even if it is from that contact.

Campaign Influence Feature Enhancements

Dynamic Batch Database Rebuild

Sys Admin Action: None required.

Location: N/A this is a background upgrade

Dependency: New Campaign Infrastructure must be enabled.

Business Value:

We are very excited about this upgrade because it introduces a new way of dynamically generating database batches for database rebuilds.

Prior to this release, customers sometimes had to go in and adjust the database rebuild batch sizes when batches failed due to data skew. This was a trial and error process. The application now detects database skews and adjusts batch sizes dynamically, which will result in successful database rebuilds that will also be optimized for faster processing.

Instructions:

You can determine if you are on the new Campaign Influence infrastructure by going to:

  1. Installed Packages > Configuration link by Full Circle Insights Response Management > Advanced Configuration button.
  2. Enable New Campaign Attribution System should be checked.

Instructions and considerations for upgrading to the new campaign attribution system are available in the 1.18.x release notes located here: https://fullcirclecrm.box.com/s/2m6cte8akwgqjuioovjw52ahnsgvfu7i

Keep in mind the changes to the Campaign Influence models listed in this release when making the decision to upgrade or not.

Opportunity Contact Role Model

Sys Admin Action: Optional - if your organization chooses to use this feature (see instructions below)

Location: Full Circle Campaign Influence Tab

Dependency: New Campaign Infrastructure must be enabled.

Business Value:

The Opportunity Contact role model is a model that will calculate influence for contacts that are listed as Opportunity Contact Roles on a specific opportunity.

This is a good model to use if your company has good adoption of Opportunity contact roles, or has very large accounts where an account-based model would attribute unrelated contact responses to opportunities.

Instructions:

From the Full Circle Campaign Influence Tab:

Select Create New Model drop down.

  1. Select Model Type > Click Create button.

  1. From the New Model Screen > Enter a Unique Name.
  • You can change the Label later.
  1. Click Save and then you can configure your model.

Information on model configuration is available here: https://fullcirclecrm.box.com/s/queksnksk3tgodn15qucziziio0qdljr

Business Value:
